As such on this faithful date in the course of presenting gifts to students who excelled in academics the previous year, he instituted an award to the best students of psychology every year.

On the 27th of February 2009 our Seminary held the inaugural meeting for the formation of the Seat of Wisdom Seminary Alumni Association. The meeting drew back to the seminary a handful of our alumni cutting across the various sets that went through our seminary beginning with the pioneer ? the 1986 set. The meeting anticipated sincere discussions with the alumni on the way forward for the association and the seminary, especially in view of the forth-coming Silver Jubilee celebration of the Seminary in 2010. We hope to establish this association on the grass root level for greater participation on diocesan basis.

It was a graceful Saturday on the 17th day of October 2009, in the Wisdom family. This was as a result of the Seminar led by a medical practitioner, Dr. Nicholas Hobeson Jen, regarding the issue of the killer disease HIV/AIDS. According to him, the official case of AIDS was first recorded in the United States of America(1981). This narrowed down into Africa via Uganda(1983), then came into Nigeria via Lagos(1986). He also stated ways through which this killer disesase can be transmitted like sex(oral-fellatio-, anal or vaginal), childbirth and unsterilized instruments. Regarding its transmission through sex, Dr. Nicholas made it clear that the condom is not a protective measure for this virus; in the sense that the holes in the condom is about five(5) microbs each while the virus itself(HIV) is about 4.5 microbs. Thus, he emphasized that the condom was originally made for the control of childbirth, prior to the upsurge of HIV/AIDS.

After the Seminar, HIV tests were conducted for free by Dr. Nicholas for the seminarians of Seat of Wisdom Seminary who were interested in knowing their status. Also, original WAHL clippers were sold at a reduced price of N3,700.00 each for those who needed them, as barbing with a personal clipper is one of the ways to prevent the contact/contract of HIV/AIDS.
